Service

I am committed to service that strengthens both the university and the broader community. Within academia, I’ve served on and chaired a wide range of committees and task forces focused on student success, accessibility, faculty development, general education, and the ethical integration of emerging technologies like AI. I also regularly review proposals for high-impact conferences such as the Association for Leadership Educators and Teaching and Learning with AI.

Beyond the university, I’m actively engaged in educational innovation and community building. I’m a founding board member of Ad Astra Agile Learning Center (a nonprofit self-directed enrichment center), and have spent years leading and supporting parent-led learning communities. One of the grassroots projects I launched grew into an internationally recognized initiative, which is proof that small, values-driven ideas can ripple outward and spark real change. My service has also included board roles with cultural organizations, volunteer work with the Orlando Junior Chamber, and mentoring roles in both traditional and alternative education spaces.
